We are pleased to showcase 100 paintings created near the California Missions Trail in a 100-mile section of the trail between Carpinteria to Guadalupe. The artists are members of SCAPE: Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment.
The Plein Air artists set up easels near the trail to capture images of the landscapes in Santa Barbara County. The exhibit, juried by Marsha Burtt, recognized several artists with awards. Margaret Ricks received the Jurors Choice award, Joan Russell Price received the 1st Place award, Nina Warner received the 2nd Place award, and the 3rd Place award went to Libby Smith. Artists receiving honorable mention awards included Leigh Sparks, Kevin Gleason, Jerry Martin, and Karen Glancy.
